The Rawlings Tigers NOVA – Black 13U put together an impressive run at the March Mania tournament, finishing as runner-up in the top bracket after battling all the way to the championship game.
In the title matchup against VA Vols West 13U, the Tigers showed tremendous fight and resilience in a high-scoring contest. After falling behind early, Rawlings Tigers NOVA – Black answered in a big way in the bottom of the second inning, erupting for nine runs to take control of the game. The offense stayed aggressive throughout, building a lead that reached as many as four runs and keeping pressure on the opposition from start to finish.
The Tigers collected key contributions across the lineup, with Maximillian delivering a big hit in the second inning to help spark the rally. Liam, Sebastian, Maximillian, Niko, Aiden, and Alex each drove in runs, while Alex led the way with two hits. Isaiah added energy on the bases with two stolen bases, while the defense delivered a key double play from second baseman Henry to shortstop Conner in a hard-fought championship effort.
Although the game ultimately slipped away late, the Tigers showed the kind of toughness, offensive firepower, and team-first mentality that defined their tournament run. Finishing runner-up in the top bracket is a strong accomplishment, and the weekend provided another great example of the competitiveness and growth of this Rawlings Tigers group.
